Parker will be a final year mite (10')
Griffin will do learn to skate (15')

Background
I am going on my 7th season with VYHA. I've coached the last 3 seasons at VYHA. I have been the VYHA President for the last 2 years. I would like to continue as President, VYHA is becoming a stronger and more competitive association each year. This is due to the VYHA board, coaches, volunteers and members. I am proud of the association.

Goals
I would like to help the association be the place everyone wants their kids to play. As our numbers will be upwards of 400 players in the 2018/2019 season, I believe the board and volunteer coaches will need to grow with it.

Additional
With a few incidents this past season. I would like to put emphasis on parent education. Parent behavior reflects on the players, team and organization.

Don't Dream On Behalf Of Your Players!

Position
Secretary

ValleyParent
I have 2 children at Valley; My youngest son Jonathan is on the '08 travel Squirt team and my oldest son Michael is a first year Bantam. I also have a 16 year old daughter who is very involved in performing arts.

Background
I have been with the Valley family for 7 years, and my family and I have loved every minute of it. During the season, we eat and breath hockey and we would not have it any other way!

this year I took the leap and got my coaching certification and I was an assistant coach for my oldest sons Bantam team and have loved getting to know all of the kids and their parents, as well as other coaches, and have learned that communication is key to a successful season. Not only do the kids love to play hockey together, they create bonds that extend off the ice. This bonding, creates a healthy and happy child and gives them confidence where others, who don't have these bonds, may not otherwise have.

I have been the kitchen supervisor for the last 4 years, responsible for buying and stocking the kitchen, as well as handling the money in and out of the kitchen to the league's bank to increase the funding for our children. this season I was the co-chairmen of the Snowbelt Jam and I know first hand that we had a successful year only with the dedication and commitment of volunteers and all of the wonderful families we have. I am proud to wear the Valley hoodies, (which I almost live in) supporting the organization and it's close-knit community, and it is absolutely wonderful to be part of an organization that my family (especially the boys who get on the ice) love!

Goals
As I have been the Secretary for the last 2 years I hae loved getting to know more and more of the organization and being a part of somthing that brings so much joy to so many people.

I would to see this organization grow and I truly envision that Valley Hockey being known as the best organization in the CNY area. With the right people representing the face of the organization as well as representing the parents and children who come to Valley hoping for that great experience, I know that that culture is achievable and I look to continue to build on the already strong foundation as I've seen when I first came to Valley. It has continued to grow during my time here as well. I've met some great people who are committed to Valley and your children's happiness and success. I want to make sure that the focus of the organization is in striving to make sure the kids have fun, first and foremost, and are excited every time they put on the Valley colors. Focusing on fun, while developing their individual abilities, and focusing on teamwork and team-building which I feel will help them both on and off the ice in their lives' in the future as well. I feel these are the best ways to keep kids and the wonderful families coming back every year. I want there to be 100% transparency between the board, coaches, and parents so that what is going on within the organization, as a whole, is communicated effectively so everyone is aware of whats, wheres, hows, and whys in the organization.

Additional
As most everyone who has met me at the rink, or even away from it knows I absolutely love Valley and I am positive that I will continue to be with Valley for many years to come. I am committed to making Valley the best organization it can be, not only for myself and my children, but for yours' as well!!
